Management of the e-mail addresses#

With this menu you can manage the e-mail addresses and also the moment of transmitting the e-mail can be defined.For all fields a maximum of four addresses can be given in, separated by a semi-colon (;).

Applying more e-mail addresses can be used to send for instance the selling departments a copy of the order confirmation and a e-mail to the storehouse were the physical processing takes place.

An other interesting application is sending a SMS message to the shop owner when an order is placed in the shop. Especially the smaller web shops will not login everyday at myshop.com to check new orders in order management. Sending a SMS message is a efficient way to be informed. www.gin.nl is such a service that transforms e-mail to a SMS message.

General#

Here the general e-mail address of the shop is given. This address is displayed on the bottom of the order confirmation and is also used by myshop.com for sending information (important announcements, pay reminders etc.).This e-mail address is also part of the company data.

Pay attention We strongly advice you to use official e-mail addresses, and not e-mail addresses of gmail, hotmail or Yahoo. Spam filters of customers may block these addresses.

Order process#

Email Temporary#

You can use this when the purchase is made after specific payment method as a Bank or Paypal.

Provisional order#

If the payment is performed through a payment provider (DocData Payments, iDEAL, PayPal etc.) a message can be sent to the shop owner the moment the customer is redirected to the payment provider. This can be useful because customers who cut of the order process are detected.This provisional order can be switched on and off. If no e-mail address is given the general e-mail address will be applied.

Order confirmation#

In the most basic form the web shop sends 2 e-mails after an order is placed. One is sent to the customer and the other is sent to the shop owner. The e-mail address of the customer is given by the customer in the order process, the e-mail address of the shop owner is entered in this screen for 'order confirmation'. The shop owner receives an exact copy of the e-mail as sent to the customer. This way the shop owner receives the same information as the customer. These e-mails are always sent and this can not be switched off.If the e-mail address for order confirmation is not filled in, the general e-mail address is applied.

Order confirmation customer - from -#

This e-mail address is used as address of the sender of the order confirmation. If customers react on an order by means of a reply, these reactions are sent to this e-mail address. In most cases this will be the customer service.

Order confirmation shop - from - #

This e-mail address is used as address of the order confirmation send to the shop owner. If this is left empty the 'from' e-mail address of the order confirmation copy is the address of the customer that ordered. In some cases certain e-mail addresses are rejected by spam-filter (like yahoo.com or hotmail.com).

After payment#

If the payment is performed through a payment provider (DocData Payments, iDEAL, PayPal etc.) an extra order confirmation can be sent to the shop owner when the customer has paid the order (considered_safe). This option is useful when the logistic process is automated or when a link is made to a book-keeping package. Also refer to link backoffice.For a professional subscription or checkout only this e-mail contains a XML enclosure with the order data.
This field can be switched to 'active' or 'not active'. If 'not active' no order confirmation is sent after the payment.

If the stock comes to zero#

If you manage the stock by myshop.com you can here fill in an e-mail address to receive an e-mail if the stock comes to zero. You will receive a message which product is out of supply. It is possible to receive a SMS message too, see this link.
